# Editorial, verification and corrections policy

Last updated 2026-11-05

## Who publishes these pages

Scholar4AI is the publishing name used for this site's research guides and data summaries. This policy does not claim a named expert reviewer or professional accreditation. Bibliographic authors named on paper records are the authors of those papers, not the authors of our explanatory text.

Our aim is to help readers find research, understand a method and choose suitable data or a publication venue. Research ideas are proposals for investigation. They are not peer-reviewed findings or evidence that the proposed study has been performed.

## How content is prepared

The site combines automated bibliographic aggregation, authored explanations and AI-assisted drafting, coding and source checks. AI assistance has been used to prepare and revise guides and worked examples. Its output can contain mistakes; the presence of a source link or a passing software test is not proof of scientific validity. We do not describe AI-assisted checks as independent human expert review.

The [About page](/about) describes source coverage, counting rules, update frequency and missing data. Guide text distinguishes observed bibliographic counts, sourced statements, editorial comparisons and illustrative examples. A mention count shows a name match in tracked papers; it does not establish actual use, dataset quality or a field-wide adoption rate.

## Sources and limits of verification

For journal rules and dataset access, we prefer the publisher or official distributor. Guides identify the checked release or date and link to the source. If a fee, license, version or submission requirement cannot be confirmed, we mark that limit and provide the official confirmation route instead of supplying a guessed value. Terms can change after a guide is checked.

Journal-fit comparisons and research-design checklists are our editorial interpretations. They do not predict acceptance or replace a publisher's instructions. Dataset summaries do not grant permission to obtain, redistribute or use restricted records. Research guidance is not individual medical or financial advice.

## What our checks establish

Equation guides include notation, worked examples, comparisons and sources. Selected numerical results are independently recalculated in automated checks. Downloadable examples are run against stated expected results; examples intended to illustrate a method use labeled synthetic inputs. We do not claim that every formula has been formally proved or every underlying paper reproduced.

Before publication, the build checks internal links, reachable search pages and structured-data syntax. Changes to calculations or aggregation receive checks for relevant edge cases, such as duplicate rows and denominators. These checks establish the properties they test; they do not establish clinical validity, unbiased data or the validity of a causal design. We state material verification limits in the guide or release record.

## Dates and updates

A dashboard's update time is the data-build time. A guide's checked or updated date refers to its editorial content; neither means a publisher rule, citation metric or underlying dataset was released that day. Substantive guide changes should update the guide date and retain the reason for a correction. Routine refreshes of counts do not represent a new study.

## Corrections

When an error is identified, our correction process is to reproduce or locate the problem, check the relevant primary source, correct the source content or generator, rerun the affected checks and publish the correction. Material changes to an explanation, calculation or interpretation should receive a dated note on the affected guide or in the record below. If an error comes from upstream metadata, we distinguish a local correction from a change at the data provider.

A useful correction report includes the page URL, the section or quoted statement, the issue, a supporting source and the relevant version/date. Do not include patient records, access credentials or confidential research data. No public correction inbox or submission form is currently designated on this site; the checklist below is a preparation template, not a submission mechanism.

## Editorial change record

- **2026-11-05:** Published this policy. Added journal-specific guidance for Journal of Revenue and Pricing Management and Journal of Informetrics, a medical-data comparison with a synthetic admission-length example, and four curated research-topic guides. Detailed Journal of Informetrics author-guide limits could not be independently verified and are explicitly left for publisher confirmation. The UK Biobank entry records the application pause stated on its official page at the time of checking.
